With her paintings, Vierad takes us along on spectacular expeditions and exciting diving adventures: impetuous winds and a turbulent sea surround Darwin’s Arch, a jagged cliff in the archipelago of the Galapagos Islands. Owing to unbroken currents, enormous migrations take place here – big swarms of large fishes, turtles and rare species pass by in the undertow of the water, and human divers also may drift off dangerously fast. Vierad visualises how the rough sea also moves her emotions, and how spellbound and overwhelmed she was once again when she returned from this distant world.
