Again and again Vierad’s paintings address the question of the large correlations of our cosmos and the origins of the earth, the celestial bodies and their connections in the solar system. She is taken with the blue planet and, in particular, its oceans. The water that was catapulted onto the earth by ice-covered comets from outer space evaporated, poured down in rain for thousands of years and filled today’s oceans. With this painting, Vierad establishes a connection to “Third-Generation Star” and highlights another facet in the complex spectrum of water.
