Vierad sees our existence interwoven in a social fabric and a big union with nature. Where we adjoin each other, touch each other, influence each other and act together, the fragility of these unions becomes apparent. Ruptures emerge and the system in which we live needs to be brought into balance. In her works, Vierad is again and again exploring analogies between the celestial and the marine cosmos – two worlds that have their origins in the element of water and share the sun as their central star, a star that has collapsed several times and formed again from its own elements.
